Transitory Cubes
Ekbatan Town has always appeared to me as a series of uniform, orderly structures—an image that formed during the years I passed by it on my commutes between Qazvin and Tehran. Its distinctly separate texture from the rest of the city always caught my attention.
The few times I have actually entered this town have been for photography, and I have always wandered through it with the gaze of an outsider. The inner layout of Ekbatan only reinforced the distant image I had in mind: a neat, measured, cold, and modern space.
Even its past and present murals seem unique to this place, aligned with the character and lifestyle of its residents—people who are not exceptions to this structured environment, but rather in full harmony with it.
